In the 2014 season of the NFL a controversy arose in the AFC
Championship game over whether or not the New England Patriots, and more
specifically their quarterback, Tom Brady was breaking NFL regulations and deflating
footballs balls. Brady was given a four game suspension from the league for his
actions. Recently he appealed his suspension and a federal judge found that he
had no knowledge of the fact that the balls were purposefully being deflated
nor did he participate in such doing. Since he was found to be wrongfully
claimed, the NFL has reinstated him and nulled the four game suspension,
meaning that Brady is now cleared to play in the season opener of the 2015
season.
