Currently I am an undecided major which means that I don’t really
know what I want to do. They say that the typical college student changes their
major four times on average. I feel like there is no way that I could know what
I want to do for the rest of my life. Although I don’t know for sure what I want
to major in there are some specific fields of study that do interest me. One of
these fields would be the Pre-Health Profession.

In this field people would major in a generic field of
study, usually science related, and then go on to graduate school to fill the
requirement for their expertise. People in the Pre-Health profession can go on
to work as a variety of different things based on their graduate schooling, for
example someone could become a generic doctor, surgeon, or even a physical therapist.
I began to become fascinated with health when I brutally broke
my ankle playing football in my senior year of high school. I was completely
hopeless and very broken down physically as well as mentally. I was taken care
of by a Health Professional and after surgery was literally able to get back
onto my feet again. Health interested me so much because I know how thankful I was
for the team of professionals to help me. After my incident I realized that
giving good health is one of the best things you can give someone and to be
honest I think I would really enjoy the feeling of helping people who are truly
in need.
I would say that some of the most exciting people in the Health
profession are the surgeons on the edge of ground breaking techniques and
technology. With the way that technology is advancing, surgeons keep improving
their techniques so that their patients have a better recovery time as well as
many other benefits.
Some of the top journals in the health profession are
Bulletin of the World Health Organization, Health Affairs, and Health Economics.
All three were published in the United states.
I admire your desire to enter a health profession based on care for others and a want to help heal others. I'm not really acquainted with the concept of being unsure of my career path as I have been set on something chemistry related for years now, but I almost envy your freedom at this point to find your passion in the next four years.
